AI action agent, defined
An AI action agent is software that helps move a specific action from intention to proof. It plans steps, keeps track of context, and flags blockers. It does this within the permissions the person has given it. In Aksa, the agent does not replace human control and cannot declare an action done.
How an action differs from a to-do item
Aksa treats an action as a persistent workflow, not a disposable row in a list. The action keeps its desired outcome, owner and collaborators, current state, relevant context, blockers, approvals, activity history and proof. That is what lets one action survive interruptions, resume with context and involve the right people.
What the Action agent does in Aksa today
In action rooms, the Action agent plans daily actions, answers questions about the goal, and posts updates. That is the live behavior described in the product specification.
- Plans daily actions for a room
- Answers goal questions
- Posts updates in the room
What is planned, not live
Aksa describes a next step: one logical agent per member that works across goals while each goal stays isolated. It would keep stable directives and scoped permissions with expiry, and it would wake on events such as a message, a schedule, a proof event or a room event, run one bounded turn, and then stop.
This is a direction, not a feature to rely on today. Aksa also lists items it does not plan here, such as a separate virtual machine for each goal or a universal assistant.
The rule that keeps agents honest
Verified Done requires durable proof and the verification rule for that action. An AI response or a checked item in the interface never counts as completion. This is the main difference between a chatbot that talks about your goal and an agent tied to proof of your work.
