You can request account deletion with or without the app.
In the app
- Open Aksa and sign in.
- Open the profile menu.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Without the app
Email [email protected] from the email address registered to your Aksa account, with the subject "Delete my account", and include your Aksa username. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account. We will never ask for your password.
What account deletion does
The current account-deletion process removes your sign-in account and attempts to delete associated profile and application records. Media outside the account's user folder and copies in backups are not covered by that cleanup. Shared conversation records may remain, including account identifiers. Some media and backup copies may remain.
What we may keep longer
- Messages in shared conversations may remain visible to other participants and may retain account identifiers.
- Transaction records that tax and financial laws require us to keep, with identifying details minimized.
- Information needed to handle fraud, safety issues, or an ongoing dispute.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription made through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in the store to stop future charges.
